Own Occupation Coverage for Lawyers
One of the most important parts of any disability contract is the definition that determines eligibility for benefits should you become totally disabled. The CBIA’s “Own-Occupation” is one of the most comprehensive definitions of total disability available today. This is defined, in part, as being: "...due to an accident or injury for which you are under the regular care of a physician, you are not gainfully employed and the sickness or injury prevents you from engaging in your own occupation.”
