Coverage for Employed Lawyers
As part of the CBIA’s Business Expense Disability plan, a law firm can take out coverage for the expenses associated with an employed lawyer. In this case, the firm would be the owner of the policy, and the insured would be the employed lawyer. Under this Modified Business Expense Disability plan, there is a 30 day Elimination (waiting) Period and benefits are payable for a 12 month period after the employed lawyer becomes Totally Disabled.
